Our new “medium density” chamois pad

We have created this “medium density” chamois pad to keep you more comfortable in the saddle.
The fabric is soft and breathable. The padded zone is soft, with a density of 220.5 lbs/m³ and a thickness of 13 mm. The fabric is perforated to allow perspiration to escape. This pad keeps you comfortable in the saddle when riding for around 2 hours

Its shape

To design the shape of the padding (area with thicker foam), we conducted tests on a pressure pad before molding the pad on a mannequin and carrying out sizing and usage tests. This test, conducted on real cyclists, involves measuring the pressure points exerted on the saddle. The padded area covers the contact points that experience the greatest pressure. There is a dart at the front for a better fit.

Reinforced areas

The ischiums are well covered, and the perineum is also protected. The reinforced area is relatively narrow between the legs to prevent irritation/rubbing while pedaling. Channels have been embossed into the reinforcements to provide greater flexibility.

Care tips

Machine wash at 86°F. Synthetics cycle. Turn the article inside out. Do not use fabric softener. Hang to dry in a warm, ventilated place. Do not tumble dry. Do not dry-clean. Do not bleach. Do not place on a heater to dry.

Our team of product designers based at the B’Twin Village in Lille is continuously working to make cycling more comfortable for our users. Our obsession is to create products that meet the specific cycling needs of our users and eliminate things that get in the way of their rides.
